Dr. Jeff McDaniel was born in a rural Midwest farming town raised by his mother and father. His father had a military and blue collar background and his mother stayed at home raising him and his one brother. He graduated in 1982 and attended Northwest Missouri State University: whereby, he obtained a B.S. in Education in 1986.


Dr. McDaniel married in 1986 and moved to Northwest Georgia. he immediately obtained employment as a teacher. In 1994, He began working on advanced educational degrees at the State University of West Georgia; whereby, he obtained a M.Ed in Educational Leadership in 1995 and obtained an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership in 1997. In 1999, he obtained an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. His Thesis: An Attitudinal Measurement of Fifth Grade Intact and Single-Parent Student Perceptions of Teacher Caring.


Throughout his tenure as an educator, he has been a high school Math Teacher, Assistant Rrincipal, Principal, Vocational Director, School Improvement Director, Executive Director of Curriculum Services, Chief of Academics, Superintendent and currently serves as Superintendent of Turner County Schools.


Dr. McDaniel leads a simple life devoted to his wonderful wife, Lee, who he has been married to for 29 wonderful years and his two children, Haiden and Ben, both of whom attend college in South Georgia. He is grounded in family, humbled in faith, and a servant to his career as an educator.
