Turner County Schools will close at 12 noon on Monday, August 21, 2017 so that students may get home to view the eclipse.

The Turner County School Board does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the TC BOE MEETING ROOM on August 24th, 2017 at 9:00 am.  For a history of the Tax Digest and Levy for the past five years, click HERE.

Change in Venue for Board Meetings

All Turner County Board of Education Meetings will be held at the Turner County Civic Center Conference Room beginning with the August 7, 2017 Working Meeting. Working Meetings are held the first Monday of each month and Regular Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month.

Mrs. Green’s goals and standards are phenomenal.  She takes pride in each student she teaches.  Her motto is “We Strive for Excellent Academics”.  Ms. Green believes in every student she teaches. 

Mrs. Green is a leader and mentor for the Phenomenal Women’s Club which encourages young women in High School to reach for high morals and academic achievements.

Mrs. Green also works after school in the Excel Program.  She believes every child in the Excel Program can be helped.  She is a strong leader in our community.

Martessia Wood

Ms. Wood has brought new life to our music program.  She helps monitor and fulfills any duty she is asked to do.  She is always positive, loving and enthusiastic. Students explore, learn and develop confidence during her music block.  She has helped students understand the importance of and enjoy music.


Ms. Wood brings positivity and joy to both students and faculty.  She takes on a lot even when she doesn’t have to.
